The vineyard for the Drew Mid-Elevation is a rather extreme coastal site in Northern California. This site resides just north of the Sonoma Coast border and immediately south west of the Anderson Valley. Grapes grown at this elevation produce low yields and intense concentration that are overall refreshing. Smaller berries and thick skins on the fruit produce flavors with deep tones and mouthwatering aftertastes. This richly colored wine has an intense nose of black cherries, heirloom plum all along a forest floor base. In the mouth the flavors of pomegranate and hint of persimmon are balanced out by a long, mineral finish.
