Dominique Lafon has become a legend in the historic region of the Maconnais and wines like his Les Héritiers du Comte Lafon Saint Véran is one of the reasons. Along with winemaker Caroline Gon, the wines of Héritiers du Comte Lafon are certified organic and biodynamic showcasing the true flavor of both the fruit and terrior. This vintage of his Saint Véran is from 25 year old vines and made from 100% Chardonnay grape. Using only indigenous yeasts, this wine is of medium weight showing off a nice lemon-tinged acidity along with a nice satiny palate and a mineral finish. This wine is all at once dry with a little bit of complexity.
