The Chablis from this father/son duo comes from 30 year old Chardonnay vines from their vineyard sites around the village of Préhy. On the palate, an exceedingly well-balanced wine with exceptional minerality comes forward and the exceptional finesse and purity make for a lingering and solid finish. Like all of the wines from Château de Montfrin, the grapes come exclusively from their own 120 hectares of organic vines around the town of Montfrin, vinified on-site using native yeasts. Their Côtes du Rhône has an unusually high proportion of Grenache blended with Syrah and a touch of Carignan, which gives a little twist to a classic wine.
